Billie Jamison

Hi, my name is Billie Jamison; I am presently serving in my second year as the 9th and 10th grade counselor at Kosciusko High School. Previously, I worked in the Leake County School District (LCSD) as a 4th grade teacher, RTI specialist, and high school girls basketball coach. The last five years in the LCSD, I served as the junior high counselor for 6th through 8th grades. I joined the Whippet Family in 2016 as counselor at Kosciusko Upper Elementary.

I was born and raised in Leake County, Mississippi, and I am the last born of ten children. I am married to Louis Jamison and have one daughter, who is a junior in high school at KHS.

I received a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Jackson State University and a master of science degree in school counseling. Also, I received a Specialist in Administrative Leadership from the University of Mississippi.

My most passionate part about being a school counselor is helping students to realize their greatest potential for a successful future, while staying socially and emotionally prepared for the classroom.

"It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop." – Confucius
